EWIGES ARZTTUM HIPPOKRATES An extremely RARE publication, ex libris Dr.Carl Schneider, who was heavily involved with the Nazi euthanasia programme. The publication is fro Himmler and it seems to be a reminder to the SS doctors of there Hippocratic oath!! Published in 1942, it was encouragement to keep the Doctors of the Reich in tune with the SS programme. Professor Dr. Carl Schneider (1891-1946), Professor and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Heidelberg, used the Nazis' euthanasia program for his own depraved research. Schneider conducted psychological assessments of children he knew were doomed to die, and had their brains collected and dissected after they were murdered.8 Schneider committed suicide after the war.

GERMANISCHE LEISTUNGSRUNE (GERMAN PROFICIENCY RUNES) BADGE CITATION!! AND RELATED DOCS The award is very rare....... the citation is like Hens teeth to find!!!only one of three known!!! With so much supporting photos and other documentation!! Named Wilhelm Wolfrum. In all the group consists of around 60 documents and photos Signatures from Karl Maria Demelhuber,Felix Steiner Hans-Albin von Reitzenstein (Wiking/Das Reich -Knights Cross) wrote a personal letter to Wolfrum. On page three of the March 15. 1944 issue of the Deutche Uniformen-Zeitschrift“ ( line drawing in the photo section) a small article reads: “The Germanic Proficiency Runes badge was awarded for the first time by Reichsführer SS Heinrich Himmler during his visit to the Netherlands. This honor is awarded in Bronze and Silver” The above translated caption is in reference to Heinrich Himmler’s visit to the SS School Avegoor, near Arnhem in the Netherlands on February 1st 1944. Himmler personally presented 95 Germaansche Leistungsrune, the Dutch name of he award, to Dutch and German SS men. Also in 1944 further recorded test and award events took place in Denmark on June 2nd and in Norway at the Norwegian SS School on August 16th 1994. I am unaware of further recordings of ceremonies to award the badge may also have been awarded on other occasions less grand than the events above. From details contained within the Wilhelm Wolfrum Germanische SS Profüngsbuch we can ascertain at least one further testing and awarding of this badge did indeed take place between the 26th and 29th of October 1944. On the fourth day of the test event Wilhelm Wolfrum, a German, was awarded the Germanische Leistungsrune in Silver, at the SS-Reichsschule near Prague, Czechoslovakia in October. Qualifying for this badge must have been quite an achievement for Wolfrum as he was severely injured in battle on July 24th 1941. The injuries were so severe that Wolfrum was unable to recover and return to full duty status until January 1943. A Brief Biography of Germanische Leistungsrune Holder Wilhelm Wolfrum Wilhelm Wolfrum was born on September 2nd 1913 in Frankfurt am Main. After 8 years of preliminary schooling he trained and worked as a tool and die maker. As a young man of 22 years he joined the SS-Verfuerungstruppe (SS-VT) 2nd Battalion of “Germania” in August 1935. He trained as Waffenmeister (Armorer) and saw combat in the Polish and Western campaigns assigned to the 2nd Battalion Staff, with Battalion Commander Werner Dörfler Schuband, Regimental commander Carl-Maria Demelhuber (Demelhuber signature on Wolfrum's SS Driving Licence) and Divisional Commander Paul Hausser. He was involved in the heaviest Waffen-SS engagements in the Arras region of France in 1940. In February 1941 Wolfrum transferred to Waffen SS Division “Wiking” and was duly assigned to a Wiking Reconnaisance Detachment as it’s Waffenmeister (Armourer). The Detachment commander was Hans-Albin von Reitzenstein, later a Knight’s Cross holder as a Panzer Regiment Commander of “Das Reich”. The Divisional Commander was Felix Steiner. Within 2 months of joining Wiking, Wolfrum was promoted to SS-Hauptscharführer (FA) [Officer Candidate] on April 1st 1941 with an effective seniority date of 20th April. In July he was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class and received an excellent evaluation by detachment Commander von Reitzenstein. In April 1941 Wiking completed it’s training in Truppen-Ubungsplatz Heuberg, Germany, in time for the fist attack on the Soviet Union, operation Barberossa. On July 24th 1941 Wolfrum was severely wounded in his stomach and groin by mortar fire during combat in the Dnjeprpetrowsk area along the Djnieper River. Until August 1942 Wolfrum underwent multiple surgeries in the Munich-Dachau SS Hospital and did not recover to full duty fitness until January 1943. For these battle injuries Wolfrum was awarded the Wound Badge in Silver. Von Reitzenstein also recommended Wolfrum for promotion to Officer rank on 30th August 1941. He was commissioned as an SS-Untersturmführer d.R on November 9th 1941(the Reserve, to hold rank until the conclusion of the war) On February 7th 1945 he was transferred to the SS-Tank Training and Replacement Regiment within SS-Troop Training area “Beneschau” near Prague. In the last months of the war Wolfrum once again found himself in battle when his training unit was absorbed as a component of SS Battle Group “Trabandt”, commanded by Knight’s Cross holder August-Wilhelm Tabandt. Full list of Wilhem Wolfrum’s awards: SA Sports Badge in Bronze, Reich Sports Badge in Gold, Sudentanland 1938 Annexation Medal, Iron Cross 2nd Class, War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords, Wound Badge in Silver, General Assault Badge in Silver, Infantry Assault Badge (Motorized) and the Germanische Leistungsrune in Silver. After recovery to duty status Wolfrum was assigned to the “Waffentechniscen Lehranstalt der SS”, the SS Weapons Technical Training facility at Munich-Dachau on January 10th 1943 as an Assistant Instructor. He became a full-duty Specialist Instructor as well as serving as the Weapons Technical Officer for the School. During this period he also attended advanced classes at the Army School for Armorers. After 1st April 1944 he headed the entire 4th teaching detachment at the training facility. For his service as an Instructor he was awarded the War Merit Cross 2nd Class and rated by senior school officials as “competent at all posts despite his physical disabilities” from his combat injuries. Wolfrum was further promoted to SS-Oberstumführer d.R on January 30th 1943 and then to SS-Hauptsturmführer d.R. on November 9 1944. An interesting point about this particular book is that Wolfrum, walked with a limp, was not required to take Test 12, the 30 Kilometre march. The picture to the left shows a section of page 19 where test 12 is marked “bestanden” which means “existing”. Wolfrum had previously proven himself in his military service in combat, presumably sufficient “qualification” to be excused the test. Wilhelm Wolfrum survived the War and was taken into an Allied Interment Camp for Waffen-SS members. He was released but soon after died in the town of his birth, on the 31st May 1947 around 2: 45 AM, Frankfurt/Main, leaving a wife, no children.

MAJOR EARLY LSSAH PHOTO, INSIGNIA AND DOCUMENT GROUPING Fascinating record of an early LAH mann, Albert Haugmuller joined the SS in 1931 and spent time with 11.SS-Standarte, Vienna, later given honour title 'Planetta', in '33 he was at SS-Sonderkommando Zossen training for SS-Sonderkomando Berlin, under the guidance of Sturbannfuhrer Otto 'Papa' Reich, his service with the LAH included attendance at the National congress at Leipzig July '33 and of course at Nurnberg, Hagmuller also took a personal part in the ROHM PUTSCH. The photo album is adorned with Hagmullers extremely rare insignia, comprising of his final SS rank (Hauptscharfuhrer) tab and his early runic tab both white piped along with his beautiful LAH hand embroidered (full length) cuff title, the album contains 155 photos 16 of which are large size, virtually all photos are uniformed shots no dogs and landscapes! It begins with the title, my service in pictures from Drill to Portepee! Interestingly the first photo is of him in make up for a play, wearing a black Kratzchen. Interestingly on some early pages, Hagmuller has used the protective tissue type sheets between the photo pages as a means to identify the individuals in the photos with a numbering system, very helpful! The album starts with early training including Zossen, also early uniform shots showing himself in brown shirt and '11' tab, Gobbels and Dietrich seem to be among his favorites and appear several times, photos of the Leipzig and Nurnberg congress, Hitler, Himmler and the usual suspects, photos of the LAH Deutschland Erwache and the Schellenbaum, nice ceremonial marching and congress photos, beer in Luitpoldhain! Great photos including black coats, tunics, super early helmet shots large and detailed! Hess and Hitler together, Tempelhof preparation for the Putsch! Driving out to the Putsch! Hitler and Bruckner with Heer Generals, 'Papa' Reich, Templehof celebration May '34, Polizei parade, Goring, Great shot of men in drill all wearing Kratzschen with insignia, Some great close up insignia photos and superb shots of Hagmullers Honour dagger on the wall of his room! More Gobbels photos, Banda faschista, album finishes with large photos of congress including Hitler, Rohm, Darre, Dietrich, Wolf, Schaub, Bruckner and,and.... Final photo is of his Portepee. Along with the album is Hagmullers NSDAP membership book, civilian photo, membership number 687383, entries show his LAH service , SS awards, stamps include Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler and SS-Sonderkommando Berlin! And of great interest the Honour dagger award! Along with the album and Party book is lever arch file containing well over 100 documents maybe 200 or more, including a letter from Hagmuller dated 1991 describing some of his SS experiences especially praising ‘Papa Reich’ The main reason being is that it was Reich who saved him from SACHSENHAUSEN KZ! The remainder of the file comprises largely of correspondence between Hagmuller and the NSDAP/ SS authorities several between Hagmuller and SS Gruppenfuhrer Alfred Rodenbucher including the latter’s original signatures, regarding his innocence and being wrongly imprisoned. Also stapled to a card is Hagmullers original Sachsenhuasen KZ number worn on his KZ uniform. It seems that Hagmuller was involved with the assistance organization formed by Rodenbucher for SS refugees following the Putsch attempt in Austria. Hagmuller had noticed that certain monies from the Refugee fund were often short when handled by a particular officer, Hagmuller decided on a course of action against the officer involved, who in turn it would seem outwitted the hapless Hagmuller and had him sent to Sachsenhausen kz! On what charge I am not sure of, research of the file I am sure would reveal the facts. Several months later as luck would have it ‘Papa Reich’ his former commanding officer In the LAH now had jurisdiction over Sachsenhausen kz, he actually saw Hagmuller in the kz and asked what the goodness was he doing there, knowing he would not have been Guilty of the crime alleged, had him immediately released. Hagmuller eventually was pardoned and invited back to the SS, but declined and went to war with the Army as Panzer grd. Final rank Hauptmann d.r (copies of his soldbuch and award citations can be obtained) Finally included in the back of the album are some post war documents relating to his former chums especially Emil Moser, also some loose photos including Moser , Albert Stenwedel and Dietrich. Photos are very clear in hand and magnify to show great detail, Images herewith are deliberately poor. FURTHER RESEARCH IS A MUST!

N.S.D.A.P SMALL GOLDEN PARTY BADGE OF REICHSMINISTER OF CHURCH AFFAIRS Small Golden party badge belonging to the Reichsminister of Church Affairs, one of the NAZI inner circle! Ring is in ground recovered condition and comes with a further Gau award, also included is an original photo of Kerrl signed and titled.Golden party badge is a Fuess made piece and of course has Kerrls party number 8631 stamped to the reverse Hanns Kerrl (11 December 1887 – 15 December 1941) was a German Nazi politician. His most prominent position, from July 1935, was that of Reichsminister of Church Affairs. He was also President of the Prussian Landtag (1932–1934) and head of the Zweckverband Reichsparteitag Nürnberg and in that capacity edited a number of Nuremberg rally yearbooksOn 17 June 1934 he became Reichsminister without Portfolio. In the following year, on 16 July 1935, he was appointed Reichsminister für die kirchlichen Angelegenheiten (Minister of Ecclesiastical Affairs), to head a newly created ministry. On the one hand, Kerrl was supposed to mediate between those Nazi leaders who hated Christianity (for example Heinrich Himmler) and the churches themselves and stress the religious aspect of the Nazi ideology. On the other hand, in tune with the policy of Gleichschaltung, it was Kerrl's job to subjugate the churches—subject the various denominations and their leaders and subordinate them to the greater goals decided by the Führer, Adolf Hitler. Indeed, Kerrl had been appointed after Ludwig Müller had been unsuccessful in getting the Protestants to unite in one "Reich Church." Kerrl was considered one of the milder Nazis. Nonetheless, in a speech before several compliant church leaders in 1935, he revealed the regime's growing hostility to the church when he declared, "Positive Christianity is National Socialism." He also pressured most of the Protestant pastors to swear an oath of loyalty to Hitler. Gregory Munro (Australian Catholic University, Brisbane) states that "Kerrl was the only Minister with an explicit commitment to reach a synthesis between Nazism and Christianity. Much to the ire of leading Nazis, Kerrl maintained that Christianity provided an essential foundation for Nazi ideology and that the two forces had to be reconciled. In the short term, at least, it appears that Hitler hoped to recover the initiative in the Church Struggle by returning to the official NSDAP policy of neutrality. The available documents suggest that Hitler temporized between two approaches to the question of the Churches. On the one hand, the predominant radical elements in the Party wanted to reduce clerical influence in German society as quickly as possible—and by force if necessary. On the other hand, Hitler clearly had much to gain from any possible peaceful settlement whereby the Churches would give at least implicit recognition to the supremacy of Nazi ideology in the public realm and restrict themselves solely to their internal affairs.[citation needed] "In 1935 Kerrl scored some initial successes in reconciling the differing parties in the Church Struggle. However, by the second half of 1936, his position was clearly undermined by NSDAP hostility, and by the refusal of the churches to work with a government body which they regarded as a captive or stooge of the Nazi Party. Hitler gradually adopted a more uncompromising and intolerant stance, probably under the growing influence of ideologues such as Bormann, Rosenberg and Himmler, who were loath to entertain any idea of the new Germany having a Christian foundation even in a token form."[1] Increasingly marginalized by Hitler, who did not even grant him a personal conversation, Kerrl became desperate and embittered. A completely powerless minister, he died in office on 15 December 1941, aged 54. Hitler did not appoint a successor

Josef Baecker, a superb and untouched private purchase SS mantel, tailored by Hitlers tailors Holters of Berlin, the coat was featured in the well known publication 'SS UNIFORMS,INSIGNIA & ACCOUTREMENTS' by HAYES. The coat features as you would expect from a class tailor all matching and high quality insignia, expertly matched collar tabs, beautifully hand embroidered Fulda-Werra cuff title and bullion sleeve eagle (some light oxidation) all hand applied. Holters silk label to the neck and their name tag to the inside pocket.Only rudimentary research has been made on the former owner, and no doubt a photo of him and much more could be found using a US researcher to pull the SS officer files in Washington. Condition of the coat is excellent, some sweat staining to the silk liner in the neck and back, some wear to the armpits, and some very light moth nips here and there, nothing distractive whatsoever.

SS M35 COMBAT HELMET NAMED Fine example of a M35 combat helmet, wether to comply with the regulations or to conceal his true wartime role, the owner, SS Hauptscharfuhrer Willi Hiller removed both the runic decal and party decal, the helmet was one item of several that came from the same man. The helmet otherwise is in top condition 90% original factory green paint remaining, leather liner is in excellent lightly used condition and Hiller has written his name SS Hauptscharfuhrer Hiller, leather chin strap is supple and equally unused, maker marked and dated 1938. What follows are the names of some of the perpetrators, all German officers and N.C.O's who participated in the crimes against Jews and Gypsies in the Chelmno area. The first commandant of Chelmno (Kulmhof) was SS Sturmbannführer - SS-Major Herbert Lange. He was followed in March of 1942 by SS-Hauptsturmführer - SS-Captain Hans Bothmann. Successively, Bothmann had two assistants, Otto Platte and Willi Hiller. SS-Untersturmführer - SS-2nd Lieutenant Walter Filer, deputy to Bothmann SS-Untersturmführer - SS-2nd Lieutenant Alois Häfele, the 'specialist' in charge of all activities. SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Albert Richter, division commander SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Wilhelm Lenz, Chief woods commando SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Johann Runge, Chief in charge of the crematoria SS-Unterscharführer - SS-Sergeant Erich Kretschmer, deputy to Runge at the crematoria SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Erwin Burstinger, in charge of the fuel and all the gas vans SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Gustav Laabs, driver of the gas vans SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Herman Gilow, driver of the gas vans SS-Unterscharführer - SS-Sergeant Walter Burmeister, in charge of the gold SS-Rottenführer - SS-Corporal Wilhelm Gürlich, deputy to Burmeister, expert in gold SS-Hauptscharführer - SS-Master Sergeant Schmidt, in charge of the dinning room In January 1945, when Soviet troops were approaching, SSers started the execution of the remaining Jewish workers, some of whom attacked the Germans, killing two of them. The SS burned the building in which the Jewish workers were locked. There are only two known Jewish survivors of this camp, Mordechai Podchlebnik and Simon Srebnik. During 1962/63, twelve members of the SS who had served as guards in Chelmno stood trial in Bonn, Germany. For their war crimes they were sentenced to prison terms ranging form 1 to 20 years. Considering the enormity of the crimes they were accused of having committed these sentences are extremely light and certainly out of tune with reality.

SS OFFICER/NCO CANDIDATE VISOR CAP ! Fresh to the market this completely untouched, sleepy and intriguing visor cap, at first appearances the cap appears to be an NCO/EM cap with black wool band and leather chin strap, on closer inspection the black wool band has been laid over the factory black velvet officer band! The candidate was astute and confident enough to buy one cap to cover both ranks. Cap condition is excellent retaining its original period applied metal insignia, cupal eagle and Zinc Overhoff TK both retain the majority of the factory original finish, cap shows light to moderate wear, a couple of moth nips to the cap top and a couple under the overhang, the heavy wool below the lower cap piping has been rather more attractive to the moths with several larger nips, the Sonderklasse gold liner retains its complete celluloid rhomboid panel. A super visor cap that really talks!

WSS OFFICER FIELD MADE M43 , SUPERB!
WSS OFFICER FIELD MADE M43 , SUPERB! From one of the oldest and most respected collections in the USA I have been trying to buy this cap for years, finally this year I got lucky. Completely field made of a waterproof Khaki material from what I do not know, there is an odd eyelet/vent machine sewn under the front flap which has no current use and must of been in the materiel before being tailored as a cap! Two wooden buttons are sewn to the front of the closure flaps with no button holes and are decorative only, the cap is lined in an artificial silk HBT, and is exactly as found in SSBW tunics as lining material, the liner shows moderate even use and soiling, officer collar piping has been hand applied to pipe the cap crown, all insignia is hand applied and comprises of a machine embroidered Edelweiss to the side flap,a standard em SS BeVo eagle to the cap front with a beautiful officer TK beneath, size I would guess at circa 56.
WSS OFFICER FLAT WIRE CAP SKULL MINT.
WSS OFFICER M40 SIDE HAT NAMED TO HANS JURGEN HARCKE !! Certainly the most atmospheric M40 SS side hat I have had the pleasure of offering, this one saw plenty of WWII ! Harcke has modified his cap by having the cap piping removed, one assumes so as not to attract sniper attention ! In addition to this he has had the flaps sewn down with large stitches in black cotton, to the cap top crease he has stapled and paper clipped together !! The gold/tan liner shows heavy soiling, SS-Untersturmfuhrer Harcke has written his name to the liner in ink, The cap is finished in the typical officer grey ribbed wool, and has some moth nipping, the superb flat wire original applied officer insignia is hand applied, this hat is an un-messed with GI bring back. Original to tunic slip on Heer type shoulder boards with black wool underlay for Pioneer, one has mothing underneath, clear marking to the French cuff where the former cuff title had been machine applied, also machine applied is the original collar insignia comprises bullion hand embroidered runic tab with small loss of wire only, rank tab with 3 grey alloy pips for Untersturmfuhrer which pierce through collar, bullion wire sleeve eagle is hand applied and has suffered considerable oxidization, all original A&S buttons remain. The tunic is a small size just as the dot '44 tunic.Tunic has minimal wear, there is light and dark contrast where the pocket flaps and french cuffs sit. One can only guess being a late tunic with no award provision that the original owner was fresh out of officer training school, and into the deep end '44-'45, the camo items listed would seem to confirm it.

WSS SS-BW COMBAT TROUSERS In several decades of searching for SS items this is the only SS-BW marked pair I have seen anywhere! The offending runes have been picked out but the -BW is clear! Hand stitched next to the size block and BW mark are a series on digits and letters, I am not sure but these maybe some thing relating to a POW camp ? Trousers are in superb condition given the use they must have had, within the deep recesses of the seams can be seen the colour blue, evidence of being dyed following the veterans return home as per allied release terms instructions, the pants have since had the dye removed, also remarkable the ankle ties are still in place, also the seat reinforcement along with all straps and metal work, truly remarkable pair of SS ONLY pants.
WSS SS-BW M43 TUNIC A really super example!! SS-BW marked (somewhat faded) correctly to inner panel along with the size block, also there are several ink markings from an Eastern theatre company or museum, apart from one or two very minor repairs the tunic the tunic is just moderately worn, and retains all the features one expects from this model SS-BW produced garment, insignia shows commensurate wear to the tunic with a moderatly worn BeVo runic tab, and wool rank tab , sleeve eagle is typical for the period.
